The students soaked up the lectures and had many questions about the Bible. Their major concern was how to apply God's Word practically on a day by day basis. They taught me anew to stay hungry for the Bible, never treating it just as an intellectual exercise, but as a book that is applicable to any situation!

Philippines Reflections #3
After our team of 8 members divided into 4 groups of 2, I was paired with Matt Parker, a godly man who is beginning seminary classes this Fall. He and I taught hungry believers in Midsayap theological topics such as Bible interpretation and Theology.
The students soaked up the lectures and had many questions about the Bible. Their major concern was how to apply God's Word practically on a day by day basis. They taught me anew to stay hungry for the Bible, never treating it just as an intellectual exercise, but as a book that is applicable to any situation!
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)
