1. The Immediate Context of the Book of Ezekiel

     • 623 B.C. Ezekiel's birth

     • 605 B.C. Daniel and his companions are taken into captivity
    
     •597 B.C.  King Jehoachin, Ezekiel, and 10,000 are taken into 
      captivity. doesn’t seem to have been a harsh one because they 
      were allowed to worship freely and be involved in business, but 
      they were not allowed to return home.

     • 593 B.C. Ezekiel is called by God to be a prophet

     • 586 B.C. Jerusalem destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar
